‘Wind is coming’: Offshore wind energy nearly a reality

The impending arrival of offshore wind turbines in the Gulf of Maine is top of mind among those working in U.S. and Canadian fisheries. It was also the subject of a recent Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries (MCCF) Lunch and Learn discussion where Wilson was speaking as a panelist. The public event, titled “Offshore Wind Energy in the Gulf of Maine: Developing a Roadmap to the Future,” took place on March 25. Paul Anderson, MCCF’s executive director, moderated the discussion.
